  • Extensive experience utilizing Themekit, the Shopify partner dashboard and developer stores, and utilizing development environments and git branching to keep track of edits to new sites and make changes to live sites.
  • Knowledge of Liquid, Javascript, HTML, CSS(Sass ideally), and Git.
  • Significant experience using Shopify’s schema and sections to create themes which are as editable as possible for clients.
  • Experience using Shopify Metafields for unique product data and enhanced blog publishing
  • A modular, component-based approach to development and you utilize Shopify snippets, SASS variables and mixins, and strive to make your javascript as reusable as possible.
  • Experience utilizing high-quality public Shopify apps such as Recharge and Bold apps.
  • Experience using libraries such as Greensock, Masonry/Isotope, Flickity or Slick Slider, and Instafeed to create custom animations, sliders, and image galleries.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic and team-first approach.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience building custom WordPress themes from scratch using the Underscores starter theme, Advanced Custom Fields, Gravity Forms, and Custom Post Type UI.
  • Experience creating private Shopify apps to add additional features such as custom subscriptions or billing, product fields, shipping customizations, etc.
  • Experience using the Shopify Storefront API.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with project managers and clients during early project phases to outline the technical requirements and limitations of Shopify and suggest alternative strategies when necessary.
  • Work closely with the designers in the early phases of the site design to provide technical direction
  • Work closely with art directors and project managers on assigned projects
  • Interpret a client’s vision and turn it into something amazing
